Advanced Academics, an Oklahoma City-based online learning provider, recently held an open house to celebrate its new corporate headquarters. The 25,780 square-foot space, located in the historic Bunte Candy Factory in Bricktown, houses instructors, teacher's aides, curriculum developers, couselors, IT staff and corporate functions.
Mayor Mick Cornett was on hand to congratulate the company on its growth, as was Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, who is slated to become Gov. Guests were able to tour the new facility, see a demo of the company's proprietary online learning platform, watch while instructors interacted with students online in real time and view student testimonials.

Elliot, the company's president, commented that the new headquarters will help Advanced Academics capitalize on the explosive growth taking place in online learning, as more students and parents discover its benefits. Some experts predict half of all courses in the U.S. will be taken online by the year 2019.
